Now, after researching and helping put together the book Sex + Money: A Global Search for Human Worth, I understand exactly what ‘trafficking’ means and can recognize it’s evil presence all over the world. Discovering how much takes place right here on American soil is what changed my life.
14: What you are doing to change it: My current goals are to continue public speaking at churches, schools, and other venues while distributing the book Sex + Money: A Global Search for Human Worth. I’m also researching what it would look like to start the first State by State Anti-Trafficking Online Directory to inform and unite the states of America to become the first slave free nation in the world. Finally, I’m hoping to turn Sex + Money: A Global Search for Human Worth into a short documentary to reach a larger audience.

20. How the modern-day slave trade will be abolished: I practice answering that question in many ways, because sometimes I’m talking to busy college students who want instant results- so I say “Give your time. Give your money. Give your talent.” Which means, give whatever is easiest to give, because these people need all the help they can get. I do believe that when many people help in many small ways, that adds up to a lot of help. But the longer I look at slavery, and the roots that have caused it, the more I believe the true abolition of slavery takes place inside each person. Every person on the planet needs to ask themselves what is the value of life for another human being? Modern-day slavery will be abolished when each person takes responsibility to stare slavery in the face and allow themselves to be disgusted and moved. Only an army of passionate, convicted seekers of justice can shift a culture and free 27 million people. I believe “it’s by the Church, we’re waiting.”
